How to Buy a Home

Step 1:  Figure out what you can afford. - Go see a local lender and see what they think you can get pre-qualified for.

Step 2:  Figure out what you need or want - Do you need 3 or 4 bedrooms, 2-3 baths? etc.   Try to define a range for Square Footage, Beds, Baths, other needed amenities.  

Step 3:  Search for Property with your Realtor.  Narrow down the electronic or email search to 3-6 properties max. 

Step 4:  Have your Realtor setup showing appointments for these homes.  Go tour these homes.

Step 5 - Narrow down your selection to the top 2-3 homes you like.  Pick your Favorite and make an offer.
